Communications and Events Coordinator

CEED Concordia is looking for a new Communications and Events Coordinator!

The position is based at our Montreal office, 2110 Mackay Street.  

The contract is from October 2017-May 2018, with a possibility for a 6-12 month renewal.

Hours per week: 10-15 hours

Hourly Wage: $12.00

 

 

Tasks:

  • Organize CEED Concordia’s Montreal based events

  • Lead fundraisers, and alumni get-togethers

  • Build CEED Concordia’s brand awareness and contribute to CEED's projects in Uganda

  • Attending events on behalf of the organization + outreach to students

  • Networking and help build partnerships in Montreal

  • Manage CEED Concordia’s social media and web platforms

  • Designing flyers, posters and all digital materials

  • Actively contribute in the Montreal office, support other staff on any tasks, and bring your creativity and passion

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator

  • Social Media savvy (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Video editing

  • Preference will be given to bilingual candidates or to candidates who are familiar with East African and/or Uganda, CEEDs projects and partners, or have knowledge of the Concordia community and/or other non-profit or student networks, but none of these are required.

Please note that this position does not require travel to Gulu, Uganda during the summer internship program.
