We are proud to share the capstone project of our Women’s Solidarity Project today. This policy brief – totalling 90 pages over 3 languages – reports on research carried out from June to October 2021 by two research teams composed of outstanding interns from Canada and Colombia.
This document includes reflections on the experiences of the 23 BIPOC women entrepreneurs that participated in this project and policy recommendations and guidelines for other women to overcome the hurdles women entrepreneurs often face in both Colombia and Quebec.
This policy brief was created under the framework of the Women’s Solidarity Project led by the organizations CEED Concordia and Nuestro Flow Social Movement that provided women entrepreneurs from Quebec and Colombia with a free skills training program and networking opportunities to help them overcome social and financial barriers.
At CEED Concordia, we believe that young people can grow and improve the world around them one project at a time. We’re excited to keep offering them experiential learning opportunities in 2022.
