About CEED Concordia
CEED Concordia is a non-profit organization operating in Montreal, Canada and Gulu, Uganda with additional projects throughout Africa and Latin America. We offer experiential learning opportunities to Concordia and Ugandan students through in person and virtual internships in Gulu and in Montreal. We are working to shape better communities and future leaders for a better tomorrow. Supported by a fee-levy of Concordia University’s undergraduate students, we strive to create opportunities for students from Montreal and Uganda to gain firsthand experience in the international community development sector. Every year, approximately 25-30 youth from both communities are involved with our program through internships, academic initiatives, public events, and various positions within our organization.
What does the Board do?
CEED’s board provides strategic direction, fiduciary oversight, and governance to the organization and complements an exceptional staff and many committed volunteers.
The following seats are available:
Student at large
Members of the student community at large willing to support CEED
CSU representative
Members of the Concordia Student Union willing to represent students interests within CEED’s board and project development
Recently graduated student
Members of the Concordia alumni community with a strong knowledge of the Concordia landscape
Faculty/Admin of Concordia
Member of the Concordia faculty or administration (staff) to support CEED in paving the way for new partnerships within the University.
Requirements:
• Capacity to commit 80% of the 3 hours monthly meetings.
• Capacity to commit 8-12 hours per month
