Sponsor our Youth Entrepreneurship Project
In August 2017, the YEP interns will be hosting CEED's first Youth Entrepreneurship Competition in Gulu. In July CEED will be training 6 youth groups (a total of 30 youth in the community) selected from 78 groups who applied for training and to compete in the August competition. The teams with the best pitches will receive grants, as start-up capital for their businesses, as well as year-round support from CEED which includes: coaching, mentorship and exchange visits between the winning groups to learn from one another.
We are currently looking to raise funds to support the project over the course of the summer. Your donations will go towards providing grants and operational costs for the project.
CEED believes that providing sustainable opportunities for youth to fulfil their business ventures is a meaningful way to alleviate unemployment rates in Uganda. To support this initiative, donate here.
Participating youth buisness groups have focused on:
Hospitality and restauration
Arts and crafts
Technology and Innovation
Gender Equality initiatives
