Ugandan CEED alumni share their experiences living during the pandemic:
We are experiencing the same storm, but not on the same boat. We know that the world economy has been strongly affected. But not all countries experience this crisis the same way. Indeed, the economic condition is currently artificially boosted thanks to central banks and governments. However, in many countries around the world, like Uganda, governments and financial institutions cannot provide financial support to all their citizens. Youth are especially vulnerable, and many work in the informal sector, meaning less job security and stability. Hear the stories of seven alumni and how they’re managing to cope with the socio-economic shock that has followed COVID-19.
