CEED Concordia is a fee-levy association of Concordia University and a non-profit organization operating in Montreal, Canada and Gulu, Uganda with additional projects throughout Africa and Latin America. Description:
Community Empowerment Education Development (CEED) Concordia is looking for a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Events and Communications Assistant. The Events and Communication Assistant will be responsible for supporting, maintaining CEED’s Social media and assisting in the organization of events. The Events and Communications Assistant will work under the direction of the Events and Communications coordinator and/or project assistant.
Main Responsibilities:
The Events and Communications Coordinator will be expected to produce the following deliverables during the course of the contract:
- Increase CEED’s visibility and engagement: via campaigns, events, public relations
- Assist for the organization and promotion of CEED’s events
- Assist in recruitment strategies and activities with the internship coordinator
- Develop promotional materials for events, recruitment and the organization at large
- Maintain and update CEED’s social media accounts and respond to direct messages regularly
- Assist the internship coordinator and project assistant for management of the internship
Eligibility:
- Be a Concordia University Student
- Own or currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in a relevant field
- Experience in a relevant field (eg. graphic design, social media management, events planning, communications)
